How to get backlinks for blog posts, the smart way

Using the Dumb Approach just
leads to headaches

Unless you are brand new to Internet Marketing you will have probably heard that something like 95% of all websites and blogs created online that are designed to make the owner money, will in fact never earn much if any money at all. And I don't think that there is much co-incidence that the vast majority of website and blog owners use the first approach when trying to work out how to get backlinks for blog posts  which we will call “The Dumb approach”.

When I started out I used to use this approach for the same reason as most people use it which is that they just don't know any better. People hear that you can create a blog and then with a bit of work make money via various sources such as Adsense or Affiliate Marketing or the like. So they set aside some time and once their website/blog content is created they learn they need backlinks to get their website ranked. At which point they spend some money and a whole bunch of time learning about Article Marketing, Blog Commenting, Forum Commenting, Blog Networks and the like. And then they take the Dumb approach. They try and do it all themselves.

When it comes to Internet Marketing Do It Yourself or D.I.Y is a path that often leads nowhere at great cost to the unfortunate person. And whilst there can be financial costs, the greatest cost is in a resource that is often not valued an accounted for by the unaware and that is TIME. Your time is precious and each minute is a minute you will never get back. There are many important ways to invest your spare time and you will be sacrificing something in order to pursue the activity of creating backlinks. How much would you pay to have an extra five, ten, fifteen hours a week to spend with your family or on leisure activities. Think about it another way; if you have a job you will have an annual leave balance which if you did not use it would be paid out to you. How much money do you sacrifice to have a day or a week off? The people that have realized this start to realize that it is foolish to do it all themselves. So many ascend to the second approach which we will call “The Smarter Approach”.

The Smarter Approach is to outsource the different aspects of getting links to your website. This means finding someone to write content, someone to spin that content, someone to distribute that content, someone to do blog comments etc. So rather than being the general dogsbody, the Internet Marketer promotes themselves to the position of Project Manager. Here they trade some money for some time and thus have a bit more time to plan their backlinking projects. But the thing with this approach is that is still takes a big chunk of time and patience to coordinate each aspect of the backlinking project. Often people will try and do it on the cheap but the old adage of you get what you pay for often comes back to bite them. Articles in broken English will often need to be rewritten, not to mention the stress of finding someone else to do a better job.

Then, after a while trying to work this approach the Internet Marketer learns an important truth. The Internet Marketing world and the rules that govern what is an effective and sensible strategy to get backlinks changes often and many times by a great amount each time. That is because there is essentially one company calling the shots which is Google, and they can do whatever they want so that they make the most money. Recently for instance, they attacked major Blog Networks and rendered them useless which affected millions of people. Why? For better search results apparently and to an extent that is the truth, but they would not do it if it was not profitable for them to do so. What this all means is that unless you are prepared to constantly invest the time to keep up with the latest goings on, the latest methods, the approaches that were fine yesterday but will penalize you today, then you could well end up doing yourself more harm than good. So, assuming that you don't want your life to be completely dominated by your Internet Marketing business, you need to move to the final approach which we will call “The Smartest Approach”.

Being the Business Owner means
you can take holidays in places
like this when you want

The Smartest Approach involves promoting yourself to the position of “Business Owner”. This means that you hire people who are much better than you at the business of Internet Marketing to take over the entire backlinking project and make you a whole bunch of money. There are SEO companies out there whose very careers and lives are dedicated to knowing the best methods of ranking websites at any given time. If Google coughs let alone does anything of consequence, they know about it. When the proverbial hits the fan they are either ahead of the game or they know exactly what to do about. You want experts doing the legwork whilst any time you focus on the business is spent considering which business systems will make you the most money. That might involve considering what offers convert best, the market research side of things. If you know what keywords will make you a lot of money and you have a team of experts working for you to make that a reality then you are set for life.

So think about what approach you want to take. If you want to be smart and get on the road to financial freedom then head over to BlogTripler.com where I have a team of SEO experts waiting and ready to make you rank on page one of the Google Search Engine Results pages for your best keywords.

Top Tips On back links

A lot of start-up web business people are being sucked into dangerous traps today. They're opting to use hosted sites provided by large companies, and they're ignoring tried-and-true SEO tactics and are allowing these large hosts to do the "work" for them. You can buy backlinks as well. Don't become one of the unseen. Follow the tips so that your site can be found.

Do not be afraid to create engaging web copy that cannot be scanned and neatly indexed by search engines. You can optimize your site by writing unique, novel, and interesting content that will catch the eye of site visitors and other sites as well. This leads to increased link backs, which will ultimately contribute to your site's relevancy rankings.

Search engine optimization is high on the priority list of many companies, because of its impact on future growth. You should consider providing links to new information on your site to some appropriate social networking platforms, such as Facebook or Twitter. The rationale is simple, the number of places where your links are viewed can be multiplied many times over, thus increasing the number of potential customers.

The content which surrounds a link in your article or blog post are weighted more heavily than the rest of your content, so you should ensure that the paragraph which holds the link contains more key phrases for that page. Don't use a single key phrase more than twice, even if it's the anchor text for the link itself.

To increase sales of your products from your website, hire a professional to create individualized product descriptions. Product descriptions can make or break a sale. The benefit you will gain from better product descriptions will more than outweigh the cost of hiring the writer to create them, and will also increase your search engine rankings.

If you want searchers to find you, you need to be consistently providing them with content - high-quality substance rich in the keywords they are looking for. This sounds elementary, if you are not regularly providing content to your blog or site, and if it does not contain the keywords you want your audience to find, you simply won't get found in searches.

Become an expert on topics outside your website's focus. This will allow you to post guest content on other websites, which then links back to your site. Guest content also drives more traffic to your website through the direct method of having people read and appreciate your article. Both of these methods will increase your traffic and your profits.

Please try not to use flash or a giant image as your main page as this can reduce search engine optimization. If you insist on doing so, make sure that you at least place text and navigation links below the fold and try your best to place your keywords in places that will be easily reached. Images cannot be traced by spiders so you need to place text near or around them to make sure they are tracked more easily.

You read at the start that these large companies are offering business websites. After reading these tips, you now know why you shouldn't go that route. The things you do to optimize your site will not be done by these big companies. They will only list in their own directories. Build your own site by using these tips if you want to be successful.
